ARB Approved Contractors

An ARB Approved Contractor (ArbAC) is a business that has been assessed by the AA, has met and continues to uphold the AA’s Standards (both the ArbAC Standard relevant to the size of the business and the AA’s Codes of Ethics and Professional Conduct.

The Arboricultural Association who are leaders in arboricultural best practice run the ARB Approved Contractor (ArbAC) scheme, the only comprehensive accreditation scheme for tree surgeons in the UK.

Did you know that less then 2% of the country’s 20,000 tree surgeons are officially accredited?

At Longacre Tree Surgery we understand that quality and safety for our clients is key. Qualification requirements and expected standards are very high and that’s why we are proud to have worked hard to become

ARB Approved Contractors

Standards of excellence need to be met in areas including:

Operations, knowledge and work standards

Health and safety compliance and training

Customer care

Compliance with environmental practices

Training and development.

Additionally, ARB Approved Contractors must demonstrate suitable qualifications, all of the required insurances (including Public Liability, Employers’ Liability and Professional Indemnity), and also work in compliance with British Standard BS 3998:2010 and uphold best practices across the business.

That’s why it’s important to choose a company who are ARB approved and accreditation is only the first step! The company must demonstrate ongoing compliance to remain approved and accredited.

ARB Accreditation provides peace-of-mind to customers as the AA can help with mediation and investigate contractors when complaints arise, which is why you can have confidence in our week and feel reassured that we are working to the highest standards.
